A secondary school teacher organised a lesson for his senior students who were to take their WAEC, NECO, JAMB and POST-UME examinations sooner. So one day, he was teaching them the basics of simple arithmetics in mathematics thus:
TEACHER: 555 is said in words as five hundred and fifty five.
STUDENTS: Yes Sir !
TEACHER: 444 is said in words as four hundred and fourty four.
STUDENTS: Yes sir !
TEACHER: 333 is said in words as three hundred and thirty three.
STUDENTS: Yes sir !
TEACHER: 222 is pronounced in words as two hundred and twenty two.
STUDENTS: Yes sir !
TEACHER: And so it applies to other figures. Okay ?
STUDENTS: Yes sir !
TEACHER: So Akpos Ochuko, can you pronounce 111 for me in words?
AKPOS: (Stands up in confidence, smiles and says with all pride) It's One hundred and ONETY ONE sir !!!
The moment he looked around the next minute, it happened that all his fellow students and even the teacher has collapsed in laughter inside the classroom. Lol !!!
