Akpos was a prominent tax collector in Naija's ministry of finance. One certain day, he came back from work, met his wife, Ekaite, inside the palour and they started discussing.
AKPOS: Darling, you really set my heart and soul on fire whenever I see or remember you. Infact, I can't even compare you with an angel because you are so unique. From morning till night, from January to December, from year to year, from east to west, from north to south, from eternity to eternity, since we ever met, my feelings for you have never ever changed even a bit !
EKAITE: (Excited and happy) Really ! Me too. You are my only king Akpos !! So, look into my eyes and tell me your feelings about me.
AKPOS: (Smiles and continues) Honestly speaking Ekaite, you have been a major source of my steady headache and troubles in this family. Did i commit a crime by marrying you? I have never had a good moment of sleep ever since I met you.
EKAITE: Mt-chew !!! For all these things you said right now, no night food for you. Infact, go and kneel down at the balcony so that I'll come and design your back with 24 strokes of cane.
AKPOS: (Obeys immediately and five minutes later, Ekaite comes out with the cane and sets his back a-blaze).
