Their courtship has lasted for a very long period of 20 years yet, Akpos still remained reluctant to take Ekaite to the church and wed her. So one day, the frustrated Ekaite confronted Akpos to know his mind.
EKAITE: I think it's high time WE got married and settled down. Our mates are already with children.
AKPOS: (Laughs and replies her) Okay, I agree with you. But who are WE going to get married to?
EKAITE: (Starts crying and says) So you have been playing with me all these while with no concrete intention of making me your wife? What about the engagement ring you put on my finger 5 years ago?
AKPOS: (Smiles and says) So you are still putting it on? Abeg throw it away ooo. I'm sure it must have turned into a mere Keyholder by now.
