After spending some wasted years in America, Akpos wrote a letter to his mum. However, the most touching part of the letter read thus;
"Dear sweet mum, please bear with me. I recently tested HIV positive and I want to come back and quench at our house in Naija".
Seeing this, the mother wept bitterly and quickly replied the letter saying:
"Honestly son, I pity you but please, do not come back ooo. Otherwise, you will pass it on to your wife and certainly, your reckless junior brother with contact it too and give it to our female house-maid. You know what that means. She will certainly infect your crazy Papa too, your dad will pass it to me and our gateman will surely get it from me. Then, the gateman will give it to your pretty figure-8-shaped elder sister and that is the end of the discussion. If she gets it, that means that the whole village men will contact it too, pass it to their wives, to their wayward children and so it will continue to spread all over the village. Finally, everybody will contact it and our village be doomed. Will you like this to happen my son? So, quietly respect yourself now and quench alone in America. Do not worry, we will give you a befitting funeral ceremony. Save our dear village now and be remembered forever as our worthy hero !!! Bye son till we meet again in heaven to part no more !!!"
