Since the past 30 years, Barrister Akpos left his village for the luxurious city life. So one day, he got tired and decided to visit his village to catch a taste of the rural life once more. Arriving safely to his house, Akpos took his ca-tapult and went into his fenced farm and began to hunt birds. Then, he saw a colourful parrot, targeted it well and knocked it down. But unfortunately for him, the parrot fell into Little Johnny's farmland. So Barrister Akpos climbed the fence and jumped into the next farm to pick up the bird but unfortunately for him again, Little Johnny who was cultivating right there in his farm has already picked up the bird before him. So, they started struggling over the bird. At a point, Little Johnny said to Akpos thus;
"I can see that our talk now seems very difficult. I own this land so I am very right If I go home with this bird. But let me give you an option. In this village, we settle matters like this through the 'Plank' method. This is how it works. I'll hit you with a heavy plank 3 times. You'll hit me back too and we will continue repeating the process until one of us gives up. Then, the last man standing will take the bird home."
Hearing this, Akpos supported it and so, Little journey lifted up a heavy log of wood and smashed it on Akpos' head the first time and Akpos began to see twinkling stars coming out his eyes. The second time, Little Johnny targeted his back and dismantled it with the heavy log of wood. This time around, Akpos nearly passed away if not for his creator. He recovered a bit and was still thinking of how hard he will hit Little Johnny when his turn reaches. So, his high hopes gave him the strength to stand up for the last hit and at once, Little Johnny lifted the log with all the strength he could ever boast of having in his life and destroyed Akpos stomach. This last hit nearly got Akpos in his kidney but the lord was with him again. After wriggling unconsciously on the ground for a whole day, Akpos got up from the shock to play his turn. At once, Little Johnny smiled and said to Barrister Akpos;
"I have given up. You are the winner !!! Collect the bird, go home and eat it. Next time, learn how to respect people even if they are your juniors or uneducated. Bye !"
Then, Little Johnny went away. It was at this point that it fully dawned on Akpos that a 45-year-old Barrister like him has been outwitted by the 8-year-old Little Johnny. But what else can he do at this point? He quickly left the bird at the spot, rushed home to his car, drove off to the city to treat himself and vowed never to come back home in his life again. Lol !!!
